Okay, I had this theory back in the day, but Lulu hit me for it. I can't remember why.

Anyway, I always thought Kamui's true wish was to die which is why Fuuma was so violent towards him, but also didn't want to grant it for whatever reason Fuuma had. I could never suss out what ending it would lead to since Kamui seemed to realize whatever his wish was at the very end. . . And likely got stabbed then. Fatally or not, who knows. I thought Kamui would either change his wish, so as to move Fuuma another way, or keep that wish and be a douche to Fuuma. You've already outlined that ending though.

ANYWAY I don't remember X that well as it has been a year, but. . . :|b

PAST SPECULATION REGARDING HIS WISH:
- Fuuma's actually become "evil" so that Kamui can fight him with less guilt
- to die at Fuuma's hand
- to die with Fuuma
- to be together with Fuuma and Kotori, which…you know…
- save the world for…everyone else?
- IDK I speculate a lot, I forget it when I need to remember

I would debunk the saving the world one. Kamui has opened up his world, but I don't think in his heart of hearts where those selfish wishes tend to be. . . That he'd want to save the world. But, yeah, this could go any which way.

And for the ending, I'm hoping that they'll both die. But I think CLAMP will be CLAMP and joss it somehow. In some crazy way.

IT'S NOT LIKE I'M EVER GOING TO GET AN ENDING. but yeah, I don't think he cares about everyone else enough to want to save the world, he's still a selfish child at heart. …like I said in the actual entry, my happy ending for them is that they both die \o/ which is the way poor Keiichi had to play it with me in the New Years AU thing
