So apparently I'm off to Madison, WI for an interview
they're flying me out next week, putting me up and what not
Like I said, I applied all over
at first I was quite a bit reticent b/c I mean...wtf, Wisconsin?
then I actually looked at it and apparently it is, percentage wise, one of the most educated cities in the nation 48% of all 25 and older hold at least a Bachelor's and per capita it holds the top spot for most PhD's at 21%
Then when it comes to other things, it's been voted on numerous occasions, top ten best places to live, healthiest places to live, best places for business and careers
and on top of that its apparently an really liberal open minded place as well
I was talking to my dad about this and he said "What....why the fuck would anyone go to wisconsin? wha..."
I was seriously surprised by the large amount of tech companies and careers out there
then comes the other shoe dropping, avg annual temp - 45
highest monthly avg high temp is in july at 82
avg low for the lowest month january is 9
They receive more snow than they do rain, inches wise
it would be a bit of a shift
