Can I just mention how much I adore The Princess and the Frog?
Yes good people, I am alive! I've crawled out from under the rock of adulthood and responsibility to make a post. 'Cause let's face it, adulthood sucks more than a Hoover. Here's just an update from January to now....let's hope it never takes this long again.
January:
I decided to take a break from college. Not quitting, just a break. I had already applied to the nursing program, but really had no classes to take until I knew anything. So basically I worked...and worked...and..well you get the point. I even took a little mini-vacation with Steven to the mountains. About the end of January, I had a headache that just wouldn't go away..and I have headaches regularly...but the was torture. I was tired all the time too. Well, mom took my blood pressure and well...let's just say it wasn't good. So I went to the doctor where my BP was 190/100....um yeah, cam y'all say stroke? Long story short: I got put on medication and they drew some blood work, which all came back fine except for my thyroid test. My follow-up was set for 5 weeks...
February:
She works hard for the money...same old stuff. Saving up for Valentine's day! And to mark this joyous occasion invented by the candy company, we got new tattoos! Here's mine!
Sorry! I really take the worst pictures in creation. It's on the top of my right foot, if you can't tell. Anyway after a week of limping and trying not to scratch my foot off, my mother and I took my niece to the Atlanta Zoo. I freakin' adore this child!
We had an awesome time. She loved the flamingos and the elephants. I loved the pandas. Mom loved my GPS that got us there in one piece. A few days later on February 24th, my nephew Sheldon Dennis *shudder* Farmer was born at 7:44am weighing 6 lbs. 6 oz. He was a tad early so they kept him in the hospital for awhile, but he's home now!
The very next day I got a surprise in the mail! MY EFFING ACCEPTANCE LETTER! I finally got into that fucking nursing program!!!!!!!!!!!! *happy dance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On a sad note, at this point my laptop is slowly dying.....
March:
But loving me the way she does, my friend Rachel loaned me hers whilst she is in Europe until March 15th..lucky biatch : )
On the 5th, I went to a bacherlorette party for a friend at work. The plan was simple. We had hired a party bus to pick us up at the hotel, drop us off at the club of our choice, and pick us up and take us back to the hotel. Simple, right? The bus driver gets lost going to the club. He is supposed to pick us up around 2am....around 3:30am stranded in midtown 24 pediatric nurses/techs shove into taxi's to get back to the hotel. After many phone calls and police reports, the bus comes back to the hotel with everyone's purses had been looked and picked through and our liquor was gone....on the plus side it had a stripper pole.
Check me out, getting down with my bad self.
And yesterday, I went back to the doctor, where my BP is great, but they are running some more blood tests for my thyroid. All in all a good doctor's visit.
Things I'm Looking Forward To:
- Allison's wedding shower sans party bus.
- The Princess and the Frog coming out on DVD.
- St. Patrick's Day. One of the few days that it is socially acceptable to be wasted.
-Hollie's Birthday with yet unknown plans.
-Spending every minute I can with
'Nuff said, peace bitches!
*Sorry about the lack of photo cuts, I'm lazy*
