Today is, as Bert likes to put it, Singles Awareness Day (or S.A.D.).
I personally don't have anything against love and people being all high on it on this day. So instead of ranting about it and saying something dumb and cliche like "love sucks" and the likes, I'll just keep silent and act like it is any other day (because after all, it isn't even a school day as I am forced to go to school and listen to a boring philosophy report and a 3-hour class on philosophers with deranged notions of sexuality and history).
The day in itself means nothing to those who have no one and I won't act like a complete thankless piece of shit by pretending like I have no one because I have loads of people in my life whom I love and am very thankful for. So thank you to everyone for being in my life in one way or another. Of course I am not only thanking you because of today; in fact, I am very grateful for your presences each and every day (but I don't say it because it would be overplayed and lose all of its meaning if I said it on a daily basis).
So if you are single, don't feel bad and whiney about being "alone" on this day because you know that you're not entirely alone and somewhere out there, someone cares about you deeply :).
I hope your day will be better than mine as all of you are wonderful people who deserve to have someone (or lots of people) in your lives who matter to you.
