My parents are failing at this whole parenting business. It seems to me that Jerry became the Boy Wonder in spite of their horrible communication skills. And that makes me glad.
Maybe he won't have to fight with them every step of the way and won't suffer from a severe case of middle class emo.
It's not his fault he's so immature for his age. All they taught him was that if he cries he'll get help. They never taught him to stick it out. They never taught him how to deal with frustration. They never taught him to ask for help.
I can't wait for college.
