Lining Up the Next Shot

In an act of particularly fortuitous timing, the contract came in today to make it official -- on the 29th of November (two weeks after returning from this trip I'm about to embark upon*) I am boarding the tallship Lady Washington in Vancouver, Washington. Among other things, the ship was the only real sailing ship used in the movies Pirates of ( Read more... )

I took a look at the resource/fan site long before it ever was announced.

If anyone was going to have a problem with it, it would be me. I don't.

Anyone else who does, in my opinion, is just stirring the pot for the sake of stirring.

Oh I absolutely completely utterly do not have a problem with it nor do I think anyone else should have a problem with it. It is far far far from being anything anyone could dream of having a problem with or having a reason to have a problem with.

If someone managed to have a problem with it, it would be doing extremely well for itself I'd say.

I'm just saying it's doomed to complete and utter irrelevance.

I'm in a "bit" of pain right now, so obviously I probably come off as harsher than I intend. Sorry about that.

But I just think it's silly for anyone to look at something like that and be going "ZOMG!!!! Look at how irrelevant it is!!!"

If it's irrelevant and no one will ever use it for anything - is there anything to be gained by pointing it out? If no one will use it - how is that going to impact *anyone*?

I thought it was a neat and possibly useful idea to make sure information from the past like that could be accessible as Idol itself continues to move forward. If people want to use it and contribute stuff that they think would be handy to have around - great. If not, then they don't!

I thought "O" was a bit on the snarky side but had some useful information to give current contestants. A lot of the advice "he" was giving was useful IMO.

This particular entry though, I thought was a bit of a stretch.

Yeah after mentioning it here I did actually feel a bit remorseful for unnecessarily raining on the parade. I just couldn't resist pointing out the huge hit boom after the wiseosiris entry.

I love the pictures. Do you know if you are going to stop in Seattle at all?

Aberdeen is as far north as we appear to be going, but I reckon it's likely I'll go to Seattle at some point if I have a weekend off or some such. (:

Thanks! (:

I kind of wish I could twitter during the trip. Maybe I'll make periodic twizzles when I come through the hotel lobby if there's a computer (:
