oh, we have a similar thing in ecuador! except it's more of a snack, and instead of a cake we just put meringue fluff in cups and then put on fruit or cream or sauce or sprinkles or whatever. exceedingly nommable.

So far I haven't seen any references to nazis. Which is indeed suprising considering. But I do strongly recommend checking out the community the comment "flame wars" are almost always hilarious.
