Oh, God, you beer connoisseurs!

You'd love it here in Portland. We've got designer beers up the whazzo. (I kid you not...)

I'm looking forward to heading up that direction -- I've applied to Willamette College of Law in Salem, OR, and its my first choice. (because of the beer obviously. jk)

We're hung up on that Chill (Lime flavored) beer. But what the hell, hand me a Corona, please!

Come on, it's all about tradition...

(grin)

Parteeeeeeeee!

(hugs)

Anything less than 5% by volume is a light beer. Corona is ok for flavour but lacks body.

I'll stick to Monteiths Black (despite being mass produced these days).

Hmm I've never had a schwarzbier. I'll have to add that to my to-do list. (=

If you can't find any decent black beers locally you could try doing a home brew. Black beers are pretty good to start on (because really hard to brew them wrong). :)

Corona is so light. I had two yesterday because I was tired of drinking what was on tap. IPA and Guiness don't serve me well. But they served me a Corona with a lime in it and it made it taste even shittier. I still drank it.

Cinco de mayo = 5th of may? Forgive my ignorance, but whats the significance?

Ah silly me I keep forgetting and assuming the NZ crowd knows things they wouldn't. Cinco de Mayo is the Mexican independance day, which is widely celebrating in this area (Southern California) with drinking of shitty Mexican beer and eating of tortilla chips and salsa.

Beer, tortillas & salsa...hmmm, sounds like a good holiday :D

In these parts Corona is regarded as one of those fashionable/expensive beers. Quarter of a lemon/lime down the neck and people lap it up.

Wait, its 5/5 now and I'm out of beer :(

Haha here corona is plentiful and widely consumed by the masses who lack the sophistication to realize its a shitty beer that requires the addition of the quarter of a lime in order to be drinkable. (=
