There's always more backstory than I can fit into the actual story. I feel like sharing it:

Chad, the time traveler who visited the druids, is a student at UC Santa Cruz. The secret to time travel came to him one day while he was high out of his mind, and when he finally sobered up he couldn't remember how he had done it.

Travis, the youth pastor, was home schooled (lest that insidious liberal propaganda at public schools warp his mind!) and later ordained by the Church of Saddleback itself, from which he had received the entirety of his religious education. He considers himself "hip" and plays guitar in a "christian rock" band that only performs at local church youth events.

Also note that all time traveling devices must produce steam. ;)
