-The Basics-
Name: Krista
Age: 16
Story behind your username: Just my first and middle name put together. Krista + Lee = Kristalee. Woo.
Origins: Well other than my parents, you mean heritage? I think? Well if that's what you mean, I'm part Irish and part Canadian.
Current location: Southern Maine, USA.
-Your favorites-
Bands: My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Plain White T's, The All-American Rejects, and Brand New. Uhm, the one I'll pick as my favorite would have to be...MCR. I know they're getting to be a little overplayed, but I still love their music. They're lyrics are hard sometimes to understand, but that's what makes it interesting. You know...trying to dig up the secrets of the music. Okay so I can't choose only one, The Plain White T's are also one of my favorites. Their songs can be a bit repetative, but they're so heartfelt and are full of emotion. Love them.
Songs: Hey There Delilah - Plain White T's. Can't Take It - The All-American Rejects. Revenge - Plain White T's. Ghost of You - MCR. Get Busy Living or Get Busy Dying - Fall Out Boy. Darn, I hate choosing only one. haha I guess I'd have to say that Revenge is my favorite. I honestly don't know what it is about it. I actually didn't like it all that much at first, but it grew on me a lot. Now it's one of my favorite songs. Hmm, since that answer pretty much sucked, I'll explain why I put Get Busy Living or Get Busy Dying by Fall Out Boy. That one has been one of my favorite songs since I bought From Under the Cork Tree. I love the monologue at the end and basically the lyrics of the song.
Movies: Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissorhands, and Tommy Boy. Lord of the Rings has to be the biggest obsession of my lifetime. Seriously. It's a little sad when I look back on it now, but I used to watch atleast one of the three movies every week. I've seen each one over ten times. Tell me that's not scary. I think part of it was due to my secret crush on Elijah Wood and his adorable face. I did't even realize I liked him so much until I noticed that everytime he came on screen, I had a huge smile across my face. Other than that though, I loved the story between Aragon and Ewoyn (I can't spell her name, so if that's wrong, just ignore it haha). I really think they were meant to be together. =\ Oh well. It's fiction. haha Why do I care?
Books: Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Eragorn, The Great Gatsby, To Kill a Mockingbird. Harry Potter is up there because well...I love it. Simple as that. I'm into all that magic and adventure/mystery stuff. I actually had a pretty bad outlook on Harry Potter before I actually took my spare time to read the first one back in December of last year. From there I fell in love. I read books 2, 3, and 4 within a week after that and then spent a little more time with five, because school had started once again. (I had been on Christmas break when I read the first four. Definitely one of the shortest school vacations ever. haha)
-Free Time-
Read. I love to read and I do it quite a lot. Actually, pretty much all of my time is spent with either a book, magazine, or something like that on my lap or if not that, I'm reading something off of the internet. I like fanfiction. I read tons of it and I write it too. I love to write fanfiction and just regular fiction too, which I post on fictionpress.net. I don't write that much though. I am usually only able to do that when I'm in a particularly odd mood. I have to be willing to rake my brain for ideas, which after a while, wears me out quite a bit. But I have finished one story. It took three months to write and WOW was I happy to be finished with it. I have another that I'm still working on I think...I've been at this one since Janurary. And then a third one that I started in August. Other than those two things, I like to spend time with my friends. We do a lot of stupid (not in a bad way) things together and we have a good time. It doesn't happen often though because I'm so busy with school work.
-The Old Days-
Ok, so we're getting a picture of you now, but what were you like when you were younger? I was shy. Very, very, VERY shy. I hardly ever talked at school. That's pretty much all I can say. I never did anything, I had one friend whom treated me like I was her inferior, and I was horrible in school.
What was your favorite crayola crayon color? Green, just because it is and always has been my favorite color.
Tell us a funny story from when you were in elementary school: Alright, once in third grade, my teacher was passing out these Scholastic News articles and she put one on my desk. I saw the picture on the front, freaked out, and backed my chair as far back as I could, hiting the wall. She asked me why I did that and I pointed to the picture. It was a huge, face size picture of an actual dust mite. It, to tell the truth, scared the heck out of me. I've always hated bugs, and that was one BIG bug. So my teacher ended up getting frustrated and angry with me, I almost cried because of the whimp that I am, and probably ended up wasting all my energy on trying to avoid touching that picture. haha Silly me.
Go dig up a baby/childhood picture (if you can): I wish I could. My scanner isn't working right now and I don't exactly have any baby pictures of me on the digital camera.
-Speak Your Mind-
Gay Rights: I think gays and lesbians should have equal rights as anyone. I mean, yeah it would make me a bit uncomfortable if a lesbian hit on me or something, but still...they're really no different from any other people. They have a heart, feelings, and just as much of a conscience as anyone else does. I don't see why people have to get so arguementive over that. It's just a preference. Is someone going to give me unequal rights because I like Coke better than Pepsi? I doubt it. I actually have a few gay friends and they also happen to be the nicests guys on Earth.
Labels: I think labels are pretty senseless. Yeah, okay here I am applying for a labeled community, but I could never label myself as only emo. I'm so many things put in one and so isn't everyone else. Infact, I could go on for hours just trying to figure out just who I am as a person. I really don't know. It's hard to describe someone's personality and then try and fit it under just one catergory, so small and precise. In some way though, labeling at schools actually helps kids find thier friends. Just by looking at the way someone dresses, you can kind of tell if you'd get along well with that person. But, in the end, labeling can be rude and ignorant, as if when you label someone, you're not letting all of thier attributes show through, but only a select few.
George W. Bush: I don't like him. Plain and simple. He's lazy and he doesn't think. I was very annoyed with his reaction to Hurricane Katrina. Yeah, just go on and enjoy your vacation Mr. President, people are dying, but other than that, everything's a-okay. *eye roll* Yeah right. That was what really got me to hate him, because before that I didn't really have a positive or negative outlook on him, since I'm not against the war. He just seemed like a guy who was doing his job...until the hurricane.
Straight Edge: Uhm, what's a straight edge?
Abortion: Well, this is a hard one. I actually did a pro-life project in the 10th grade, but my feelings on it are a little swayed right now. I'd have to say I'm against abortion for the sole reason that it's actually the killing and taking away of a potential human life. That baby could grow up to be great one day. What if we had aborted...Albert Einstien? The math genius. Or Edgar Allen Poe? One of my favorite poets. The world would be a different place if we were missing some important people. But then again, abortion is sometimes nesecarry. I mean, what happens if a girl who has been raped wants to get her baby aborted? It should happen, because if that child is born, all he or she is going to be is a memory of that event. Any other time though, I don't think abortion should be done, just because of the reason that there is adoption agencies out there.
-Emo Reject-
How did you find out about emo_rejects? Interests search.
What made you want to apply? I read through the rules and thought it sounded like a pretty cool community.
Why do you consider yourself emo? Uhm, I'm not entirely sure. I know I can be sometimes. If you were to look back through my journal, you'd definitely see a few emo posts in there, but I also have other sides to me. I can be pretty happy go-lucky sometimes. I swear, it's almost like I'm bi-polar or something. But anyway, the reason WHY I think I can be emo... I'm very emotional and it's very easy to change my mood. Almost in an instant, my whole outlook on the day or week or whatever can change and I'll be totally different about things.
What music do you listen to that would make emo elitists cringe? Simple Plan. Yes, I have a liking for Simple Plan. Their first CD, I will admit is very pop-like, but the second CD I actually used to listen to quite a bit. They were my first concert. Not to forget that I used to be aboslutely in love with David Desrosiers...the bassist.
What's your most dorky reject moment? Oh gosh, I have dorky reject moments every day. But, my most dorky reject moment would have to be me tripping up the stairs. And it's true, it happens almost EVERY day. I'm kind of sick of it. It's just on this one same step at school in the stair wells. I think it's bigger than the others or something, because I always trip. And it wasn't until I got my converse! So maybe my converse are a little big. I don't know. haha

I love my converse. ^__^
I don't know what's up with the spots on my eyes there...
I was in a particularly good mood this day. This picture shows a lot of my personality, in a way that I can be pretty quiet, yet inside it's another whole story.
I love my bangs. =P
If it needs to be longer, just tell me. I'll gladly add more. =)
