R.I.P. Tamra Colvin.

So today I went to school, complaining as normal, and with about five minutes left in first hour there was an announcement. "Duncan's fourth hour choir please report to the choir room." Now, since there's a concert tonight I was like "Hmm, probably rehersal.
Boy was I wrong.
I go in there and see Mr. Duncan about to cry. So I go over to Kaylee and ask her what's going on. "I'm not really sure yet, someone died." I was thinking it was Mr. Sweet or something because he wasn't anywhere around and I was already about to cry. "Tamra." She finally told me. I just kind of sat down on the floor in shock, while the rest of my class filed in. That's when Mr. Duncan told us.
Basically, he didn't want us to hear it over the intercom and freak out in class, so him and Dr. Story told us exactally what happend. Apparently Tamra and her boyfriend were over at Dorothy's house with Shea and Shea's boyfriend. Tamra and her boyfriend were out on the hammock. The hammock was tied to a dead tree. I'm not really sure if it was the tree that snapped or just a really big branch, but either way it fell on Tamra and her boyfriend. Tamra's boyfriend made it out with I think a broken wrist and a concussion, Tamra wasn't so lucky. They took her to the hospital around 9:30, and she was pronounced dead at 11:30.
Dr. Story announced it over the intercom as well.
Now while you may not care, I do. I didn't know Tamra all that well, but she was my family. Everyone in choir is my family. While I may be a choir nerd (okay, I am) I really care about everyone in there, and when something bad happens to one of us, everyone knows about it. We have a concert tonight, and we've dedicated it to her. Tamra, you were such a sweetheart, and you were always making people smile, as well as you having an amazing singing voice. God bless your soul. <3
