We played a show at the St. Pete Pier, we were slated to play a second day, but it turns out there was a wedding the time of our show. The bride and groom asked us to refrain~ who wants to hear pop-punk on their wedding day? We didn't have to, it was stressed upon us, but we felt it would be the right then to do. We have been broke lately, so we had no dinner. As thanks for not playing during the wedding, the Hotel the wedding was held at treated us to a free meal each (made up solely of appetizers, lolzies).
Five people = $80.00. Nice place.
While I was eating, I saw everything I'd never have, the kinds of people I'd never know, the stairs of which I'd never ascend, unless we booked more shows on wedding dates and the groom payed us for not playing with food again. I saw the way movie stars lounged and worked out, I saw suits and a happy bride and ugly bridesmaid dresses. I saw a $100,000.00 wedding in the works, and I thought to myself,
I read John Lennon's John Hancock, that sold for $7,000.00
But I lived past the 80s.
Wink.
