Yeah...going to bed early tonight didn't exactly work out. I guess I have too much on my mind and it won't shut off so I can't sleep. Whic sucks...because sleep is usually my getaway. Turns out lately, the one thing I could kind of control in my life(my dreams), I can't really control anymore. So...I figured now was as good a time as any to update about my weekend.
Friday couldn't have come sooner because it seemed like the longest week ever known to mankind last week. I remember waking up on Tuesday morning and thinking that it was Thursday. Yeah...it was that bad. ANYWAY...after class on Friday, Maya, Hil and I went to Cosco. (It's comparable to Sam's for all you Michiganders) We got the necessities and actually got quite a bit of groceries and didn't spend too much money. So, that was cool since money is so tight right now. Oh, we also picked up my package that my mom sent of all the stuff that wouldn't fit in my suitcase. Candles, clothes, shoes, books, purses...yeah, it was like a surprise bag. Now our apartment smells wonderful with all the tarts my mother sent me. Yay! Then, after Cosco, we all went to our respectable apartments and napped and then Maya came and got us to begin our night in Margaritaville. She made us some delicious nachos and we first drank wine and then graduated to margaritas. Apparently they were a little stronger than any of us anticipated because after 2 1/2 of those suckers...we were feeling pretty good. Kelley and Russ and Ellen and Will and Cody showed up and we attempted to play some drinking games but it just wasn't working out so we eventually all just at around talking. We also attempted to watch "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" since Hil got the DVD's for Christmas, but Maya's DVD player was being stupid so that didn't work out. Hilary got more drunk than I have ever seen her and tried to go to sleep in the bathroom. Needless to say, Maya and I pretty much dragged her from the bathroom to Maya's bed. It was like lifting a dead body, she wasn't helping at all and she was laughing hysterically the whole time. It was probably one of the funniest things I have ever witnessed.
Conversation of the night:
Hilary: "Why do I need to move up?
Maya and Dani: "Because if you don't, your legs will lose ciruclation from hanging off of the bed."
Hilary: "But...I'm Liutenant Dan."
Hahhaa...ensue hysterical laughter.
Don't worry, I got a lot of it on tape for future blackmail. Trust me, it was awesomely funny.
Cody then dropped me off at my apartment by myself because Hil was in no condition to be moved.
I got up on Saturday morning and went on this mad cleaning spree. Literally, I dusted everything(I even took apart the fan and dusted that...yeah, I wasn't kidding around). Then, I swept and mopped the linoleum floors, vaccuumed the carpet, did my laundry, did the dishes, cleaned out the fridge, cleaned the bathroom, cleaned the oven, cleaned the bathroom sink and mirror and vanity, and took the trash out. Yeah...I was going crazy. I felt better afterwards though. Well, after Hil got home, it was pretty apparent that we were probably going to be taking it easy that night. So, we ordered Chinese and Kelley came over and we watched "Clueless." LOVE that movie. Then we watched part of "Saturday Night Fever" with John Travolta on ABC Family. Weird? I thought so too.
Today was really uneventful. I got up fairly early(just can't sleep in very late lately)and started my mounds of homework that had to be done. I did homework for about 6 hours straight and finished it...Thank GOD! and then just layed around and watched T.V. all day. Hil and I made a salad complete with cucumbers, red peppers, carrots, and onions for dinner. It was pretty spectacularly yummy.
Now...here I am. I have written in my journal, read four chapters in the Chronicles of Narnia and am now thinking of other ways to make me tired. Any suggestions?
Alright...well, I hope ya'll had good weekends. Miss and love you.
XOXOXOXOXO
