Ok this isnt funny anymore. I had an interview today and took my dog with me and left him in the car. Was gone no more than an hour, came back an the police were there holding my dog and my car window smashed. First thought was that my car had been broken into but then i find out the police had been alerted by a 'neighbour' (fucking DSS scum no doubt) that a dog had been left in the car for an hr and a half (omg LIES!). So the pigs smashed my window and got paddy out, and claimed that they had the right to do it under the animal abandonment act! I felt like a right criminal and like i abuse my dog or something. Couldnt BELIEVE what i was hearing. The window had been left open and i was gone no more than an hr, with the intention of taking paddy for a long walk on my return. The police said he was distressed cos he was panting, but he always pants and would have been excited with ppl near the car looking in on him. He also would have been extremely fucking distressed having glass shatter all over him. Cos i know paddy would have sat up on the driver seat with the police nearby - to make sure he is near ppl etc (paddy loves ppl). I completely blew my top at the police and told them that i could confirm how long i had left him cos i rang the interview to say i was running late. They were like 'oh but how do we know u didnt go shopping first and leave him'...and im like 'well BECAUSE i rang the interview to say i was in such and such road and on my way..u fucking corrupt bacon streaks'. Then i said 'so its a neighbours word against mine even tho they have no proof of when i left the car?' and they are like 'we need substantial evidence to prove how long u left him' but how is a neighbours view substantial!?! Is it more substantial than my interviewer giving a statement to confirm when i rang them and when i arrived?!?!? MY GOD, I AM LIVID. And u cant beat the system can u? If i had left the car for 5 mins and someone claims its been hours, then i would still be in trouble...like WTF?! Anyway i have been cautioned, it may or may not go to court. But i have just realised that they didnt take a statement from me and i didnt sign anything so there is no solid grounding for a case. I can now give a statement if i choose to and whatever i say ant be wronged by the police on the scene cos they didnt take a statement at the time. Ha. I was crying literally all day over this, just cant believe its happened, and how badly the police have over-reacted. I would NEVER put my baby pads at ANY risk. If it had of been a hot day there is no way i would have left him anyway. Makes me sick to think that scumbags leave their dogs in all day long with no food or drink yet because they are not in a confined space its not an offence?! And u get ppl that kick their dogs about etc and they dont get taken to court. And I am SO livid that someone blatantly lied about the length of time paddy had been left. What kind of dickhead would do that? Its clearly some council estate benefit ponce with nothing better to do with his day. LIVID. LIVID. LIVID.
