(no subject)
We have the house! Our closing is around November 1st! I have broken the news to my supervisor... and she's cool with it. She'll help me with my resume and telling the doctor when the time comes. I feel so much better that I have her in my corner. It amazing that telling her helped me feel so much better about this whole thing.
What a great weekend. Yesterday was Mike's surprise 27th B-day party. Ben and I had such a good time as always. It's so nice to be able to relax, let go of everything, and hang out with awesome, fun people. And the best part about it was that Mike was genuinely surprised! Melissa and I were driving crazy-like all over CT to get ready for it, while Ben was at the apartment finishing the preparations. What a good sport! He's so great, my guy. Today, my parents and Ben and I went to Lyman Orchards to browse and buy lots of yummy apples and cider and stuff. We didn't stay too long because of the humidity. Afterward we decided to stop by Gouveia Vineyards where we had our rehearsal dinner. It was beautiful, even though it was foggy. Such great memories there. We had some wine and laughed a lot. Something all of us needs right now.
Tonight is back to the Bronx. **sigh** I'm counting the days.....
