Okay, so I'm not sick anymore, which makes me more pro-active, which makes Emmy less sad and talk in 3rd person!
Now that I can actually get up and move around, I'm needing some things to do. Here's a list so that I don't have to keep them in my head anymore.
My Marla Singer and Demon Nurse photo shoots. I got a camera for my birthday and the Silent Hill shoot would do wonderful in the foggy weather we've been having lately. Plus I really wanna show off my Marla costume to the masses cause I won an award at Ohayocon for it :3
Start some cosplay sewing/crafting. (Talk about Siam Costume in a moment) I have some half done WoW Succubus armor parts I need to get to and today I found some awesome tips online for making wings I don't have to use shoulder straps for! I guess if I use a 'U' shaped harness it makes it easier to stablize on your back. If that's the case, I could fashion my craftfoam corset/Bra to hold the top of the U at the bra line and attack the bottom part with something comfortable to hold it down. The wings were what was really holding me back from getting it done, so I may be able to get some more of that costume done shortly. I really wanna get back to armor making. I love armor making.
I also have a few plans for other cosplays, but I need to ration which ones I am doing and when. My Siam costume is gonna cost some money, especially since we plan on entering it into a contest. Because of that, my budget has to lean on that costume the most. Soooo, my other costumes, even though I dream of them and plan on starting small with them, I may not be able to finish them by ACen. I'm planning on doing Dark Althena from Lunar Silver Star Story Complete. Her costume should be fun. I'll make a post on my creative journal about how I am thinking of doing the entire costume. The other costume I really wanna do, and I may be able to get done by ACen if the money allows it, is Yuraki from Paradise Kiss. I wanna do her school girl costume, which shouldn't cost me too much, just the wig may get expensive. (However, I could re use the wig for my Succubus costume)

Still kinda organizing the room upstairs. Either this weekend or next I plan on trying to get Boomer to throw away some of the clothes in the draws he never uses upstairs so I have a place for some of my t-shirts and pants. Also I could put my costume stuff away and put up some of my art stuff, which should get a few boxes out of the way. I really can't wait to make our side room more like a living room of geekdom.
Been talking to a guy Boomer works with named Andy, and I guess that don't have alot of set designers at Western right now. They are so short on designers, Andy is out of school and they are asking him to come back and help them design and make sets. I've asked him to call me up when he's building so I can go over to help and HOPEFULLY spread the word that I would do it for free as well. If that's the case, I may get a few set's this semester, even thou I'm not even in school. Andy says they spend about 200$ on studio sets which should make for some fun design ideas!
GenCon and Origins are a while away, but registration started this Sunday! I'm so excited! The schedule for GenCon and Origins this year is a ton of Pulp Noir stuff. Anywhere between the 1930s and 40s. Mixed in with some Pirates! The GenCon games are apart of a series, which means I get to create a character, which I haven't done (Minus DnD) for a while. This will give me some fun alternatives for costuming, which we all know I love. PLUS I know of three stores off the top of my head right now I could get some awesome period stuff for the events. YAY! I'm trying to get in contact with people right now to see who wants to pair up for games, so if you don't check your Myspace very often, I may not have msged you, but please msg me here if you wanna sync up!
Along with discussing Origins and GenCon, I have to figure out how to get Boomer registered for both since he's coming with me. GenCon he's gonna have to pay for himself, but Origins I may be able to get him in on the TerrorWerks deal so that he can get in for free. We are also gonna have to look for Hotel Rooms, which is gonna be kinda hard since we can't just be up there the day before the convention or anything. Which is what most people enjoy doing. So I am slowly figuring that stuff out.
Siam! What is Siam you may ask? Well its a new monster in the video game Silent Hill 5. As most of you may know, I have a small obsession with the Silent Hill series. So when I was looking at the pictures for the new game and I saw Siam, I about wet myself.
So, I totally wanted to do a costume where I could be the lady on the top. It would be creepy as hell to see the fingers wiggling, the chest heaving and the legs kicking to say on. But I knew if I ever did it by myself it would be alot of fake parts and me as the bottom half. (Which I already had ideas in mind as to how I could do it.) However, one day I was discussing it at a cosplay Forum, and another very well known Silent Hill cosplayer said he wanted to do the costume as well. I plainly stated he should have someone on his back to make it creepier and he asked me to be that someone! I was so excited. I got a chance to meet Brian at Ohayocon and he was a big sweetheart. He's a huge Silent Hill Nerd like me, which makes the idea of working with him so much cooler. We've been discussing over the internet how we are doing it. As of right now I wanna keep it all a mystery so its cool to see for all of you, but its gonna be awesome, and after a few visits to Chicago to hang out with Jim and Brian for SH costuming days, we should have an awesome costume on out hands.
Cross your fingers for me guys! I am VERY excited about this costume.
That's all I got for now, hope that was informative. I love you all and good day!
P.S. Register to vote now! Cause it will make me smile!
