What is forever? The dictionary defines it as "for ever lasting time; eternally." But can such a term really be defined? Forever can be used in so many different ways. For example, "I talked to my friend forever last night." "Forever" in that sentence obviously is not eternally, because it took place in one night and the person is still alive to tell someone else that she talked to her friend. In that case, forever could have meant a few hours. Also as an example, "I had to wait in line forever." "Forever" in that sentence could mean anywhere from a few minutes to several hours, but yet again, it does not mean eternally. So when you get in a serious relationship and your significant other says they'll love you forever... What does forever mean? Five minutes, a few hours, or til death do you part? I'll let you decide.
