Thoughts on SPN 6.09
First comic filler of the season FTW! \o/

6.09: Clap your hands if you believe...
Four things:
1. Robo!Sam is amazing. Sam's soul can take its time coming (just as long as we know for sure that he is going to get it back). It's a welcome relief from SamnDean's admittedly claustrophobic angsty codependency.
(Also, he gets shirtless much more often than Normal!Sam. I approve. \o/ )
2. So fairies are affected by the SPN staple: iron, silver and salt. How convenient.
3. "Your soul is far away... but not completely out of reach."
"That so."
"Sam... I can get it back for ya. For a price."
"That's adorable. It's locked in a box - with the devil."
"Your devil. Not mine."
Hm. So we have confirmation that Sam's soul is, indeed, still in the Cage. For nearly two centuries. Ouch. There has to be some serious repercussions when it comes back.
Also, Sam recognises that Deals with Supernatural creatures = bad, and getting soul back = good. But how long will you keep that up before the variables change, and you have to change the equation, too, huh, Sam?
4. I like the closing shot - the pose, the expression, the lighting, everything. Not the least being that they decided to focus on Sam rather than Dean, this time.
