10. 7.21 promo. Angels, blech. Screw 'em, seriously. Castiel: "I'm sorry, Dean." Me: "Good, now go away."
I really enjoyed this episode (especially Charlie). Parts of it felt very much like an episode of 'Leverage,' and now I want a crossover, hee. (I think the box contains something they can use or turn into a weapon against the Leviathans - maybe instructions on how to build one)
It's rather good actually, though hubby and I only watch it when we happen to catch it. Essentially it's about a group of thieves that steal from the wealthy & powerful and give back to the people they've screwed over. They kind of take cases when people come to them for help. The way the episode was edited especially, made it feel like Leverage.
tablet with some weird inscriptions on it. Instruction manual, like you said? That's what I'm thinking. What do you want to bet the inscriptions are at least partially in Enochian and that's why they go to that angel guy? ::cough:: Sam should have picked up Enochian from Lucifer though, just saying ::cough::
Either that or it's a portable version of the Rosetta Stone ; )

Sounds awesome. :D
IKR? I love that bit of fanon that says that Sam knows Enochian because of his time in the Cage. And I don't know if they can go to an angel, per se (unless they're crazy and want to summon one). From what I understand (and I could be wrong), some angel finds out that Castiel's alive and wants to kick his ass for leaving Heaven in tatters. Or something.
I actually meant "Castiel" by "that angel guy," LOL I think they go to see him because of the tablet. The other angels wanting to kill him - I'm sure that plays into it as well. Will they actually kill him? I sincerely doubt it. Maybe he'll end up powerless though. Maybe he'll end up powerless and go wander off somewhere else. Works for me.
IKR? I love that bit of fanon that says that Sam knows Enochian because of his time in the Cage. He SHOULD. It's just...Sam is already pretty good with languages, and he spent centuries with Lucifer. It just makes sense.
Oh. Oh yeah! I totally forgot about Castiel there. LOL. Yeah, it's an excuse to show the boys contacting Castiel again--but then again, it comes across as the boys going to Cas only when they need something out of him. I'm not much of a Cas fan, but that's cold.
If Castiel has to survive this season, then he has to turn human. It could be interesting. Agh, I don't even know why I'm so mad at that promo. It's the "I'm sorry, Dean" and the idea of Hallucifer taunting Castiel, I think.

Right? It's canon that Sam's got an insane memory and observational skills, and he's definitely better with languages among the Winchester clan, so.
Sorry for pipping in but I thought it was also Leverage-esque. Editing wise especially the part where they steal the briefcase.
Since Chris Kane is in Leverage and he and Jensen are friends, maybe they decided to play with it. (Oh and Aldis who played Jake in S2 of Supernatural is in Leverage too).
Just a theory - I enjoyed it though and loved Charlie. :-)
I think Sam and Hardison would probably geek out together while Dean and Eliot would be either side-eyeing each other to size each other up or be smirking at each other in shared "commiseration". That would be fun to see! :-)
After Dean tried to kill Hardison and Eliot went hulk!smash, and Sam and Hardison tried to get in between them and the misunderstanding was cleared up... THEN towards the end of the episode (hahaha!) Hardison and Sam would find a common love of all things Avengers and Dean and Eliot would realize they're both BAMFs who love giant geeks, and share a beer. Hehehe. :-)

Hope your Big Scary Things are easily defeated!

Haha. Perfect response is perfect. :D
I've seen quite a few people say that this episode was like Leverage. Never actually seen that show, though.
A frame from the promo for next week shows a tablet with some weird inscriptions on it. Instruction manual, like you said?
