Wow... I feel like I've been put through the shredder. That was amazing. I could feel Sam's pain. Lucifer's voice in his head was creepy and invasive and I just wanted Sam to be free of him.
I felt for both boys here. They've been through so much.
Excellent! I really like the idea of Uriel ending up in Purgatory! Do you suppose that is true for all the angels and demons they've killed? What about ghosts?
I'm not sure... as Show progresses, so does my speculation over their conceptualisation of Purgatory. But, I figured, y'know, if Uriel didn't have a place in Heaven - or, um, Hell - and given there is no permanence to death in SPN-verse, he could've ended up in the in-between: Purgatory. This could be true for the demons that're "killed" - like Crowley or Ruby, or the other dead angels. Ghosts, well. I'd been under the impression that they'd end up in Hell or Heaven in SPN-verse.
Awwww. This was great. Dark and intense, and I liked the "weirdness."
"Hey. Hey hey hey - take it easy, Sammy, I gotcha -"
Of course he's got you. Until the next time you say or do something that he doesn't like, and then - you're a monster, right?
That broke me a little bit. I mean...if you look at their relationship from a certain perspective, especially given the last few seasons of Show...it's true. Aww.
Yay, thank you! And, yeah, I emphasised the weirdness quite a bit, didn't I? But seriously, I was flailing to myself while writing this, going, "oh god this is way too weird; [emmram] what are you writing--" So, yeah. I'm really glad you liked it. :D
I know -- it's something that's been bothering me since s1, and I think it was brought into sharp relief in 4.14: Sex and Violence. The siren was what Dean wanted the most: a perfect little brother, but he was nothing like Sam. It just, it made me incredibly sad.
it's horrifying (which I like) and feels very much in character. Love how you acknowledge Sam's crazy stubbornness in the face of absolutely everything. And I was imagining what Dean's going through, listening and not being able to do anything - excruciating.
Sam's stubbornness is one of his most amazing and most heartbreaking qualities, and I'm glad you think it shone through here. And also, yes. Dean, coming apart in the face of being unable to help his brother, having to listen to him scream.
