I don't really have the time to do an elaborate 'thoughts on', but this ep had so much WTFery (of the good and bad kind) that I had to get it down before I adjusted.
See, I think they're going to bring Mary back to fight Eve towards the end of the season. That whole speech about a mother never abandoning her child kind of made me think we're in for a Mary smackdown at some point.
Also, hi, I think this is the first time I followed you home.
I'm really hoping for the Mary smackdown. She's not in Heaven or Hell, so she's got to be in Purgatory. And, man, is she not gonna be pleased with anything fucking with her boys.
It is more likely Eve will wear her face, but let me imagine plz.
For something that has "cute" and "bra" in its name, it hardly looks cute, or, uh, bra-ey. (what, that's totally a scientfic observation.)
Yeah, "annoying and bewildering" is one way to put it. When did Cas get all chummy with Balthazar? What's he gonna do, lording over Heaven with his nuclear arsenal - oh. Uh oh.
I agree that the Mother of All concept is super creepy; just that they haven't been able to sell it to me fully yet. And I have to wonder what's her ultimate game plan. All that talk about an army - no, Show, how is the rest of the season tying in with this?
(also, I kinda like the idea that after all of this is over, SamnDean would be like, these experts on this new wave of monsters crawling around in the dark. Hunters casting aside their misgivings and coming to them for advice. Dean, not entirely liking the whole sitting around bit, itching for action. Sam, in geek-heaven. The whole RufusnBobby parallel would come full circle.)
((Don't ask me how parallels can make circles. I don't know))
34. Definitely. I was just thinking about what happened to Bobby being wierded out around Sam and then that part where he was so worried Sam had been shot kinda deflates that. Guess they are all good now.
That's the Winchester/Singer way anyway. Actions and facial expressions, not words.
I know! I was so disappointed it was never addressed - not even tangentially, an uncomfortable glance or two, even - when I'd LOVED that Show didn't have Bobby welcoming Sam back with open arms. It could've been Sam's turn to try and win Bobby's trust back, y'know? That would've been interesting, not to mention the first focus we get on the Sam-Bobby dynamic since, what, 4.21? 5.01?
