Yesterday was long.
We left for Seattle at noon, in plenty of time to make the ballet at 2:00. Then we got to Tacoma. Cheney visited McChord and then went up to Bellevue, and we were lucky enough to get caught in the slowdown from his visit. It took at least 40 minutes to get from the edge of Tacoma to Fife. We got to Seattle at 1:55.
Mom, Kit, and I rushed to our seats and sat down just as the final tuning began. Dad came in partway through the overture (luckily the ushers at a matinee are more relaxed about seating people a little bit late). So it all worked out alright.
Afterwards we did our normal trip downtown to get Santa pictures taken. 23 years in a row, now. I think the wait in line took 2.5 hours - there were a lot of people getting pictures taken.
I got a present for Kit taken care of, as well as the present for Annie. Parents will have to be taken care of today, I guess. I'm running out of time! At least I have an idea of what to get, now.... Just have to find time to get out and buy stuff.
