Today was the rescheduled Kansai Juniors concert! It'd been postponed during the piggy flu scare week, but we finally got to see our Juniors!
- Veterans were there! We weren't expecting them as they're doing backup for KanJani right now, but we were very glad to see them! Even if it did mean that Laura was carrying the wrong uchiwa (out of pity for poor Junta only).
- Bun-chan came up to the 3rd floor (right side facing the stage) and hung out in the balcony for most of the opening song.
- Seeing his current haircut and color from that close confirmed for me that, yes, I really have seen him a couple of times when I'm on my way into work.
- Kiriyan has a pretty nice tan going on right now, without being orange!
- Junta had a solo where he seemed to be trying hard on his desire to be like Tacchon.
- Sadly, Yuma did take up a lot of the concert.
- We went back in time to 1554 and saw Juniors in hakama battling each other with swords. And Senzaki was
Toyotomi Hideyoshi, Hama-chan was
Ishida Mitsunari, and Daichi was
Tokugawa Ieyasu. Then they assasinated Senzaki, BAD sang a song in the middle of
Sekigahara, and Daichi killed Hama-chan and became Shogun.
- I think they did this 'cause they wanted to make sure all their fans didn't miss anything important from their history classes when school was canceled for a week with piggy flu.
- Do you know what really pisses me off about the whole Yuma debut thing? Not only are there people more talented and more deserving of a major debut than him, but the b-side for his first single ISN'T EVEN DONE BY HIS GROUP. It's him and some members of Hey!Say!Jump. What's the point of debuting him if they think he's not going to sell well enough on his own?
- Kiriyan and Hama-chan told us to ouen Yuma in his debut, because he's from Kansai Juniors. Also that they'll be ouening him, but they also will not lose to him, so they need our support in that too.
- Bun-chan wants a girl to make bentos for him. Marcy wants white bread (which he apparently eats for breakfast, without any spread, without any toasting). Muro-chigai wants buta kimchi. And Muro-nii says "愛があれば, Love is ok" and made a Joshima Shigeru face.
- Daichi and Hama-chan in afro wigs.
- At least they had the sense, when Yuma sang the b-side to his debut single, to have BAD, BOYS, and Veterans off the stage. If they'd been backing up Yuma, I think there'd have been stuff flying at the stage.
- Honestly, Yuma got the fewest screams/cheers out of the Juniors. Half of 7West got more reaction than he did.
- There were quite a number of dudes in the audience, including one not far from us that kept yelling out AKITO!!! and HAMA-CHAN!! and BUN-CHAN!! but mostly AKITOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! throughout the night.
- During the encore, Junta and Muro-nii were over on one side of the stage and completely gave up on the choreography and started doing the furitsuke to Love Machine instead.
- Oh yeah, the show started with Little Gangs coming out onto the sides of the stage, with the house lights still up and the curtain down, trying to teach everyone the furitsuke to a new song. Except nobody really knew what was going on, so most people didn't seem to be paying attention. They knew the furitsuke better than Tackey did at his
2005 solo concert, at least.
- No Magnetic. We are emo. And so is Dots.
- Daichi, Hama-chan, and Muro-nii all asked if anybody had watched/taped today's あほやねん!すきやねん! A lot of us had. (I did. Taped it.)
- Kunta was running all over like the batshit hyper kid that he is, and was highly entertaining.
- You can also totally tell he's had a growth spurt recently (again) - not only is he pretty much level with Muro-nii but he's not as coordinated as he used to be.
- The girl in the seat in front of me was wearing giant heels, and had her hair teased waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay up, so when she was standing I couldn't see ANYTHING. But she only stood up when Muro-chigai was on stage, which wasn't very often. And then I just edged over into the aisle a bit until I could see around her.
- Hey, JE, if you're going to do a show in a venue that has multiple floors, perhaps you should rethink the "let's have the boys stand at the BACK of the first floor for half a song" thing.... ESPECIALLY if you don't have a screen running so the 2nd and 3rd floor seats can see what's going on.
- Magazines were there for photos.
- Yuma's photo set did sell out, despite his lackluster reception during the show. So did BAD, half of Veterans, half of 7west, and BOYS photo sets.
- BAD, BOYS, Veterans, and 7West will be doing dramas again this summer!
- I really like Kansai Juniors. They make me happy.
