I have vague thoughts about the most recent Korra, but instead of um, actually posting those I'm going to post a lot of caps that pretend to be episode commentary. Including the part all of Tumblr and Korra fandom probably loved best!
HAHAHA! Just kidding! I mean, she's totally a Mary Sue, amiright? Or Equalist Spy! *sarcasm* Which is kind of possible and might give her more interesting lines, so.
Mostly my reactions right now are stuck on " GIRL! WHO'S KIND OF KORRA'S AGE!!". But I like where she's set up in the show so far if that makes sense (the Sato heiress thing. :)
Hey, now I get to sideye as this fandom goes ballistic in real time. Joy.
(The internet tells me her design is based on Lust from Full Metal Alchemist, which I'm neutral towards too.)
Actually, I meant love for this:
TOPH! Authoritarian Toph! Aang! Sokka!
I'd guessed that they wouldn't bring Team Former Avatar into the story much for easy entry into LoK and to give Korra space to make it her own, but I was still excited enough that I capped everything here including a unidentified person's eyes!
(I'm thinking Yacon, personally.)
The Fire Nation proves it's still the boss on gender equality.
Oh, the Council. I want to know more because I'm not feeling much hope they won't do more ridiculous things trying to put the fires out in Republic City. Hint: if your choice is declare war on the guy taking down Triads when you apparently haven't, the odds of the fire being lit under your ass increase exponentially. All benders? Probably.
The Northern Water Tribe isn't doing itself any favors with Tarlac.
He's pretty savvy on people though, poor Korra.
I bet Tenzin gives the best hugs ever. Especially when you really need them. My favorite parts of any episode are any scene that include Tenzin or family and Korra without a doubt.
Still not worried about the Equalists being too black hat, even in this episode. Subtext is on my side! :D?
Hey, you know what's kind of neat? The first vid I've seen posted for The Avengers is about Natasha and awesomely fun and bouncy.
