Oh hey, Fringe went tripping last week
Since the new episode starts in maybe 10 minutes, er now, actually.
Mostly, YAY OLIVIA'S BACK, but did we have to sit through that to get there? It wasn't so much awful as weird and clumsy with the cartoons and Bell's completely anti-climactic second death. Which seems kind of pointless?
- Peter identifying Olivia doesn't actually fix what originally broke, so I wish it felt less like the magic bullet for OMG HE UNDERSTANDS HER NOW!!!! And yeah, I don't ship them, but telling me nothing new about Peter, how they got to this point, and shortcutting the whole thing isn't exactly a recipe to make me want to ship them either.
- No conversation about how Peter's been pyscho-killing shapeshifters, show? Really?
- I don't get Olivia in the last scene. Which ok, the writing continued to be weird and stupid there, so IDK how much is supposed to be Olivia and how much is just set-up for her clairvoyant(?) last line?
- ASTRID!!! And also Broyles. <3
-ETA: So the random ZOMBIE ATTACK, where cartoon Peter decides to just starting killing things instead of running away was a little hilarious. But still in a bad way. WHAT THE HELL SHOW?
