OMFG, is she going to somehow FORGET ALL THIS HAPPENED and either only remember she loves Peter--having forgotten Altlivia and the breakup--or fall in love with Peter all over again--fresh start!
I realized I had left out the crucial word FLASHBACK and so added it! Because I thought that's what you probably were thinking. ;)
I just never understand why shows, if they must go with the romance for the leads, seem to think it has to be some Big Epic Destiny instead of just a choice two people make.
Right? I'm struggling to figure out why the Big Epic Destiny at all. I HAD assumed the main arc of the whole thing was going about the choices people make and the consequences, and that the smoke and mirrors destiny shit would sort of take a backseat to the characters in the end. Which they've never done well with Peter, but usually with Olivia and Walter. And there's more than enough there to pull a whole altverse arc out of.
And you know, since I'm pretty convinced Peter/Olivia is set at this point, if they had to do it, I would have been fine with it almost exactly like this except for the part where several episodes ago, Peter killed a bunch of shapeshifters and is LYING ABOUT ALMOST EVERYTHING. It makes the whole thing feel that much more manipulative than the "lol, we must put our two leads together."
