Well, now we have a sofa, but we had to take the front door off it's hinges to get it in and by the end, if someone had handed me a chainsaw, there would have been no more sofa and probably no more porch as well! Saying it got stuck is a huge understatement
Anyway now the front door won't shut properly. I'm hoping it's just because we can't screw the screws in tight enough and not because we've damaged anything fundamental. Apart from that the damage is superficial and will just require a bit of paint and varnish. All this so we can sit in our front room. Not that we actually can as there's so much stuff all over the place. Today I must tidy and then there's the small matter of the shopping so we can eat. Honestly, just day to day living fills up all my time and I have to do this for the rest of my life! What a cheerful thought.
