Today at work, one of my favorite little girls who we will call "Amy" ( not her real name) said something interesting that made me think, how innocent,nieve,and uncomplicated a childs mind is.
"Amy": Miss Emily I have 43 friends,thats a lot huh? They all love me and will never leave me, because they are all my bestfriends.
"Emily": Wow Amy, Miss Emily only has 3 bestfriends! I remember when I was in 2nd grade and had 43 friends.
"Amy": Miss Emily? Where did all your friends go, why did they leave you?
"Emily": I grew up, things changed, but now I have one of the best friends since I was your age sitting next to me
{pause}
Right Mel? ....This is my bestfriend from 1st grade that I work with....
"Amy": Wow, I thought friends were friends forever.
That conversation made me think about the days when I believe no one would leave me,and "bestfriends neckles" meant that person was bound to me like glue for the rest of my life.
Children live in a world of their own,they believe things will never change. I am glad that most children do not realize the conitation of the word "hate".
::::Smiles::::
I am glad to work with children on a daily basis. This is helping me grow,learn,experience,and have input from children to incorporate into my "nursing profession" with children. I am extremely happy to be busy all the time, learning,and growing up through opportunities that have arised in my life.
I am going to watch Real World on MTV. I shall write more later.
