The worst abomination of the English language that I've seen on the internet:
U're instead of you're.
Not only was it the wrong your/you're to use in the sentence, I didn't realize text-speak has now translated to unfathomable contractions, where we're too lazy to type the extra three letters to make you.
Not only do people not know the difference between using your/you're the correct way, I've seen more text-speak, leet-speak, and lol-speak making their way into writing. Now, I'm the first person to admit that if I have a lot to say in a text, I'll shorten things to 2nite, 2morrow, or the occasional u. But to see this in normal writing infuriates me. I would hate to be a high school teacher or college professor in this day and age. I wonder how often writing like that slips into papers and that the students think nothing of it.
