Berkeley Free Clinic Medical Sxn: Accepting Applications!
The medical section of the Berkeley Free Clinic is currently accepting applications for our 2008 Winter/Spring training! Become part of a clinic community working to empower and give care to those who need it most. You'll receive in depth training in topics ranging from STD testing, upper respiratory infections, dermatology, and ear infections to resources available to the homeless in the bay area, non-western approaches to healing, and working within a collective. No previous medical experience needed, but a wide range of "life experience" is necessary.
Training is on weekends and one evening a week, and requires around 25 hours a week of your time. Classes begin January 19, 2008 and end June 1, 2008. A 1.5 year commitment to the clinic is required upon completion of training.
