So, I did what everyone said I would never have enough guts to do.....
I got a perm.
For those of you who know me, you know my hair is like the one thing that I usually stress about. For some girls its pounds of makeup they worry about, but since I usually don't wear a stich of makeup, for me its my hair.
Last summer, it was either perm or highlights. I went with highlights after mom told me 2000000000 times I would look like a poodle if I got a perm... a frizzy poodle. Well, no one was really fond of the highlights, and everyone said they missed my red hair.
So this summer I went with the perm.... and WOW! Ok, the first two days, I did look like a frizzy poodle, and I hated it. But thats because they tell you not to wash it for two days. So there I was with this curly, frizzy, un washed hair. I didn't even leave the house except to go to the diner late at night with Eric and Josh. (You can't pass up the diner!) I was beginning to hate my hair and thought it would never look good, and I was pissed that I went for the perm.
Now, I like it. I went to work today and everyone liked it too. A lot of people said it made me look totally different, like my facial features and everything. I can't decide if I look younger or older though. I guess just curlier, haha.
And since I knew you would all want to see it too, I took some pics after I went out the other night. Don't mind the mess behind me, I took them in my room!
My New Hair I was told that in two weeks or so it'll relax and loosen, because the curls are really tight. The back is already started to relax though, so I'm sure I'll like it even more then. I wanted like curly ringlets, not tight curls, so I'm hoping in two weeks or sooner it looks the way I wanted it to. Either way, it's growing on me. Its a nice change since I had straight hair all my life.
Now June 14th I have an eye docotr appointment, and I probably need glasses. So when I get back to IUP, I'll have curly hair and glasses! I don't think anyone will recognize me, lol!! :-P
