i'm never taking my kids shopping around christmas again... i swear... lance and i were shopping with them... and we had hannah in her seat in the cart... and abie sitting in the cart as well as rylan just kinda stayed right in front of us, walking ya know... all of a sudden he sees something and god knows how because it was so busy.. musta been just the right level for him to see... and he takes off down the mall towards it and all of a sudden i couldn't see him anymore and lance couldn't see him anymore and... do you know what kind of heartattack you get when that happens to you? i always remember doing it to my parents when i was younger and now i regret it big time... we couldn't find him... he'd disappeared into the crowds of people...
so then... we were running in and out of stores asking the people have you seen a little guy about this tall *shows you how tall rylan is with my hand* with blonde hair and no one had seen him and i was getting all panicky while lance is trying to remain calm and there was so many people and then all of a sudden i see him... in the arms of some man...
but not just any man...
a police man..
and my heart lept to my throat and tears came to my eyes as lance and i both ran over there... and i took rylan and hugged him tight and told him never to scare me like that again and lance just hugged us both and abie and hannah sat in the cart looking kind of scared... and then we both thanked the police officer about a million times and told him whatever he wanted he could have... and he looks at us both and he goes... you are the two that are in that movie that my daughters watch over and over and over... i'd know your faces anywhere... and all he wanted was an autograph for his daughters... i can only imagine what their faces would be like on christmas morning when they wake up *laughs slightly*
so now we're all at home... *smiles* and i finished making all the salads for tomorrow, last night, abie helped out a lot... she helped make the jello for the salad and the pudding for the other salad and she mixed all of it.. shes a good little helper... while lance read to rylan and they played with blocks... rylan hasn't thrown one of those at lance in a while... he and rylan are so cute together.. and hannah slept *laughs* what else is new with her... and now i'm going to peel potatoes.. but i'm definitely getting lance to help me with those... because while the kids nap... i want a little quality time with my husband... and what better way to do it then "peel potatoes" in the bedroom of course.. *winks*
