give my regards to broadway...

i decided to finally update this thing since i'm procrastinating starting the large amounts of work i have to get done this weekend.

student teaching is going well so far. my co-op is great and so are the kids (except for the few delinquents in study hall). i haven't done much teaching yet but i'm starting to do warm-ups with the choir this week and i'll be working with the sectional groups too. for the theater classes, i'm working on a unit about musical theater that is currently stressing me out a bit. it looks like it's going to be 3 weeks long (including watching "oklahoma") which = a lot of lesson plans. plus, there's so much that i could talk about so i'm worried it's going to be hard to make it concise and interesting enough to keep the kids' attention. i did come up with some good activities for a few of the days but i'm just hoping it goes over well and that i can get my lesson plans done in time.

as much as i'm enjoying student teaching, it's so strange to not to be on campus during the day. i don't get to see people except at dinner or on the weekends. it's like i'm an adult during the day and then a college student again at night. i'm always tired and i could easily fall asleep by 9/9:30 every school night. it's just something i have to get used to i guess.

now onto those lesson plans....
