Rest in peace, little friend
I really wanted my next post to be Sim-related, and I have a nice little Maxis makeover ready to spam you with possibly tonight, but I thought my lovely LJ friends would be able to offer me a virtual hug or two following the sad news I had this morning. My beloved little dog Jodie who lived with my parents over in the Canary Islands passed away from old age. She'd gotten too many ailments from organ failures and the vet and my father realised it was time for her to fall asleep.
I've grown up with this lovely little character - we got her when I was ten and with my brother being so much older than me and having moved away by this point, she was very much a sibling to me. She's irreplaceable. I know I've plenty of love to pass onto another animal which I will when I'm ready, but she'll never be forgotten and I'll still treasure photos of her.
I'm doing okay. I'm mainly trying to celebrate her life and how much joy she brought, but I'll miss her like crazy. I can be brave!
