earthfest!

yesterday I went to earthfest! it was soo much fun!! in the morning I had to work at the library for two hours and it was weird; a random guy walked in at 9am in the morning, and "didnt realize the library wasnt open." How did he get in?? Then I went to faiths with Sheila and Alissa and her mom drove us to riverside. we had slight difficulty with the change machine but made it on the train. at the next stop, katherine and elizabeth, and katherine's three cousins, boarded! they got off a stop ahead of us; we got off at arlington and followed the heards to earthfest. we picked up some free stuff and then it started to rain. it only lasted a few minutes but we hid under my shower curtain that I brought as a mat. then we went for lunch when it stopped, and sat looking at the river for a while. we played phone tag with leah and matt. it was almost 2pm so we started looking for seats for the fray. sheila and I popped over to see girl authority, which was disturbing to say the least; a mix of britney spears and spice girls, age 13. for the fray we battled our way into the crowd and got a pretty good view- I saw emily donnelly- and then katherine called and they found us! then david called me and eventually, after sara was put on matts shoulders, they found us. david, james, sam, eric, matt and sara were in that group. I really enjoyed the fray (it was my main reason for going) and sang along. when they finished, lots of people left so we moved forward a good 20ft and put down my mat to give us some territory. we listened to james blunt for a while, but then me, alissa, faith, katherine, sheila and elizabeth went to get ice cream. on our way back, we saw a member of the fray loading his trailer! we were the first to notice him, so sheila asked him for a photo!! then tons of girls came and he gave autographs, but then he said, "who's that girl I promised the photo?" and we all gathered around.A PICTURE with a member of THE FRAY!! so coool. I cant wait to get a copy!! so we ran back to everyone else and they had moved up real close for los lonley boys. we listened to the band for a while, making fun of the guy wearing a purple tank top in front of us who was swaying to the music, the couple behind us whose husband was nuts and kept jumping and grinding with his wife, and the guy with no shirt playing air guitar. it was a blast. we decided to leave before the concert ended so we could get home without the huge crowd. first, though, kathering, sheila and alissa bought Fray t shirts. then I picked up some free Cinnamon listerine strips and a sticker for a random band. the t ride home was crowded; a little girl was pulling my hair. I really want to go again next year!!

this morning I went for a run which I didnt enjoy but I want to get in shape. the mini triathlon is the same day that I am leaving for my conference- I'm not sure if I will do it or not.
