It's been a hard days night & I've been working like a dog
I thought I felt the need to document the ridiculously long day I had in work today:
First off I already knew the area manager was coming so I was on my toes.
Go in to find out that I'll be in charge and have to speak to him because someone was going home.
Ran round all day like a mad woman trying to get the shop looking half decent.
Someone phones in sick (or more specific, gets her sister to ring in for her)
Try to get in touch with manager but to no avail.
Try to get in touch with someone to cover the shift but to no avail.
Meanwhile still running round like a mad woman trying to get the shop looking half decent.
Phonecall off area manager...not coming.
Can't get in touch with anyone (4pm, my shift ends at 5)
Stay in work till 9pm because I'm the only person available to close
Go home cursing everyone and everything related to work...I AM A MUG!
