Birds and book, day 40 of 2012

Oh, it took some trying to get the day correct, assuming it is correct. I need some sort of widget on my computer to track such things for me. Oh, I could use any number of helpful devices: ones that would track how much water I'm using during my overly long showers, put laundry in, order Pygmalion tickets, return phone calls, and perhaps also file my taxes. Maybe what I need is staff.

Instead what I have is a day off tomorrow and, really, it's not a moment too soon. I just have to be careful about going onto work email so I don't get sucked into the maelstrom of work issues. Plans for the coming three days include going to the flower and garden show, visiting the Fill, getting the Christmas lights down, pruning the grapes, and possibly clearing the protective blanket of leaves from the big garden bed. I'm hoping for some decent weather somewhere in the mix so that Gradka can sit in the raspberry canes squinting while the sun shines on her face. My wants and needs are truly pathetically simple and few. Sort of like today's bird list.
