Which is just my way of being negative about Mr. Obama's address to the joint houses of congress when, in fact, it was the sort of speech that nearly makes me misty-eyed. I love that "responsibility" talk. I'm a sucker for that "it's going to cost" business. I admit I wondered how some of his statements would stand up to review and I'm curious how all these new students are going to get their college degrees as universities are slashing their budgets. Now, however, I just want to take a long hot shower, possibly scrubbing my ears with steel wool, after listening to Bobby Jindal's Republican rebuttal. That man is the Republican answer to Obama? He sounded like the slimiest of sleaze. Yeesh.
