Talk about romantic!
It was my parents anniversary a few days back.
Dad doesn't live with us since he got a job in another state and i wanted to complete high school here, so Dad lives in Chennai whereas my mum, sis and I live in Vizag.
It was a normal day for me, my Nana was coming over for a couple of days (10!!) from Hyderabad, so mum had to get up early, like super early to go pick her up from the railway station. Same 'ol, same 'ol. :)
Dad has this awful habit of sending packages to Mum and asking her to do some work wit it , like give it to someone, or post it to somewhere else and what not. That very morning, Dad had sent mum a package for to get some documents signed. This doesn't go to well with mum but she accepts the package anyway. This is necessary. Sorry if I'm boring you all. :P
Anyway, another package turns up later in the afternoon and mum receives it only to find. on opening it that for their anniversary Dad had sent her a SAREE!
That's so sweet! talk about cute! I seriously did not expect him to do that! I mean Dad isn't all that great with expressing his feelings and stuff, so this is was totally unexpected! mum was shocked!
She wore the sari in the evening when all her friends came to wish her. When she relayed this story to them, they were shocked! Dad isn't exactly a very romantic person. Infact, my parent had an arranged marriage(it's quite normal, here in India) so mum generally never expects anything from Dad, who generally buys her some jewellery or a new dress, or something along the same lines.
