Feelin' good!
Today is a beautiful, perfect, sunshiney day at Colby. Skirt weather! :) I got to eat lunch outside and go for a stroll around campus with Emily, whose up visiting. Dinner out tonight at Panera with Karen and Camille (yay!) and then hanging out with Carolyn and Brendan. So fun!
My thesis presentation at the research symposium was yesterday and it went SO well! I felt really smart and so proud...but in a good way, not a seven deadly sins way. :) Anyway, it's got me thinking that maybe I do want to go get a Ph.D. after I finish with TFA and become an English professor. I could maybe even come back and teach at Colby! I just love learning so, so much, and in retrospect, I really loved this whole long process of coming up with an idea, writing and researching and presenting it in a paper, and then giving an oral presentation that people understood and enjoyed. And I could do that for the rest of my life! It's so exciting!
