She's SO cute!!!! We have those feather sticks here and we also have some that have a string on them that has feathers on the string on a stick. LOL My only problem is they don't sell replacement feathers. Only a whole new stick most of the time. Some brands you can buy just the feathers.

Like I just told emmaduck below: I bought one of these sticks for my Henry kitty, but with short leather strips at the end instead of feathers. It lasts much longer that the feathered ones - at least nine months now. And Henry loves chewing on the leather straps.

I've never seen any with leather straps!! I bet mine would love that just as much as the feathers. I had one with a string that had feathers but they chewed through the string so I had to throw it away, and found a different one that had fabric on it instead of string and at the end of the fabric there were feathers.

We found the one with the leather straps at a cat show. There were lots of booths from pet supply stores, and they had many different toys there. I thought about buying a stick with feathers first, but Henry plays quite roughly, and he'd have chewed them off within a day. The leather straps also helped him when his new teeth came through - he chewed around on them a lot then.

Oh that makes sense. I've only been to one cat show and I did see some people there selling things. The feathers on mine last anywhere from a couple days to a couple months. I depends on how much playing they do. LOL

I visit cat shows once or twice a year, partly for the shiny things they're selling there :) They also often give away free cat food samples, which is a great way of trying different stuff with your kitties and bring some variety into their diet. Sadly, Henry got hooked on one of the most expensive dry food brands :)

The one time I went was because a friend of mine was getting a kitten from a breeder who was at a show close to my house. I don't think I got any food samples but I got a free sample of this odor eliminating spray which worked awesome!! I think I did end up buying something else but I can't remember what.
I'm really lucky - my cats aren't picky about what they eat really. But they're on weight control food which of course, hasn't slimmed them down any. LOL Just regular Iams Weight Control so it's medium priced I guess. It's not the expensive prescription weight food.

Henry is really weird about his food. He'll only eat one medium-priced wet food brand, and recently my mother managed to trick him into eating some cheaper stuff by mixing it with the medium-priced food. But when I offer him ridiculously expensive, 99 per cent meat, shiny-happy cat food available at specialized stores only...he sniffs at it once, makes a displeased kittyface and gives a questioning "meep" as if he wanted to ask "Do you expect me to actually EAT that?"

Cats. They're complicated. But I like that somehow.

Mine will literally eat anything with a cat on the container. LOL I don't give them any can food often though because they whoof it down and end up puking. And I usually split one can between the three of them.

Henry eats at an insane speed but usually manages to keep it inside. He really seems intent on catching up after the small setback in his development (the Attic Incident - you probably read about it on kittypix) and eats three to four of these small aluminium cat food dishes a day - with additional dry food and treats. *is impressed*

Ohhhhh you were the cat in the attic person! I'm so glad he's okay!! It's scary when stuff like that happens!!!!! I don't get to follow kittypix on a regular basis but I remember that story!!!

Aww thanks. Yeah I have one with a fleecy string and then feathers - she doesn't like that one so much for some reason, but she will play with it (and drag it around, lol). Apparently Da Bird is one you can buy replacement parts too, but it's really hard to get here. I think I'll have to do some searching!
