Good and Bad News
Bad news first I guess: I got home late last Wednesday evening to find Alfie mouse dead in his cage. He was getting old I know, but it was still somewhat of a shock. I really miss my poor little man :( Here are a couple of pics of him I never got around to posting until now
The good news is that I have new baby ratties!! I know, I'm naughty, but these guys were too sweet to pass up, and now I haven't got any cuddly pets any more (the girls are great, but so NOT cuddly!), I really missed that - so I have snuggly boys (in theory, lol)! Who, incidentally are not getting anywhere near the girls - I don't want random rat babies.

And this is Velvet's head sticking out from his favourite hiding place in my jumper:
He's very nervous, still fear-poos a bit, and tends to hide a lot. He has really soft fur, and once he calms down he's really sweet and funny.
This is Mickey (possibly Velvet's brother, although he's a fair bit bigger - and smells more!)
He's a hyper little boy at the moment, hence the blurry photos, but he's also quite happy to sit on my shoulder and brux in my ear. He bruxxed at me within about 48 hours of having him home, and I get the feeling he's going to be a snuggly rat! He already curls up on the top shelf of their cage (or in the hammock if he's feeling adventurous) and watches me at the computer. Sometimes Velvet curls up with him, but he seems to prefer their igloo at the moment.
I'm sure there was more I was going to post, but I have a mountain of coursework and exam revision to do for Thursday, so I should really go and do that! And I have lots of rat cuddles to give tonight!
