"Are we there yet?" Charlie asked in his best whiny child imitation.
Don chuckled. "Just remember, that's only funny the first time you say it. Say it again and I will pull over and show you my Dad impression."
"You know if you had let me do a traffic flow pattern analysis, we could have shaved almost an hour off of... Hey, why are you getting off the freeway?"
Don stopped at the red light and turned to his brother. "Because the journey isn't always about the destination."
"Sure, but why stop in..." Charlie looked around for signs and examined the map. "Buellton, of all places, when we're headed to San Francisco which is way more interesting?"
Don turned at the light and then made a second turn.
"Because, little brother, a man's got to eat and at least once in his life he should eat at a Pea Soup Andersen's"
Charlie glanced up as Don turned into the restaurant's parking lot and his face lit up. "No way! I've heard about these, but never eaten at one."
Don nudged his arm as he unlocked the door to get out of the car. "Welcome to road tripping Don Eppes style."
