I think it's about time for me to write a Don/Ian drabble series. This month's prompts (and Challenge Pairing) have inspired me to write the pairing, which I've always liked.

So get set for a five part Don/Ian series! I've no idea what's to come at this point, but there's a decent chance it won't stay PG13. ;-)

(Then again, I do enjoy my PG13 porn. Hehehe)

ETA: This fic is #701 on my list of Numb3rs fic! (700 went to Penance, the sequel to Sin, which is in progress). So officially over 700 fic started in one fandom! /marvels/

Thanks,

Emma DeMarais

Yay go you! I have no words to describe how awesome 700+ fic is.

I know better than to wish you 700 more, so....here's to - more? Lots more!

LOL How about more in each of my fandoms? They each deserve a tiny bit of love.

Oooh. Good things here, and good things to come, I can tell. :D

I love this dynamic of alpha male hierarchy, and you do it *so* well!

Poor Don, afraid to lose himself. But Ian is definitely strong enough to ground/centre him. I really like the tone of this, and am looking forward to more.

Thank you for sharing this!

Thank you for reading! I really enjoy Don/Ian and I forget how many other people like that pairing until I publish some.

See, this is one of the unfortunate aspects I find in fan fiction. Once people decide something it's kind of a done deal - facts be damned. Once this fandom started using the cordite thing to be evocative, it didn't matter if it wasn't real because it worked.

So yeah, I'm with you on things that should be realistic, but I'm also realistic about how to reach people through the ways they think things should be. It's give and take and I try not to go there too often, but /shrugs/ What can I say? I get weak sometimes. ;-)

P.S. Mel and T are writing an old west/steampunk AU so they would actually have a shot at cordite! (Pun intended! LOL)
