This fic was written for Round 5 at remixthedrabble. The original author was my friend Laurel (sailorhathor) whose fic I remixed Orange-Flavored Kiss can be found at the fabulous Miracles fic archive she runs, Cross to Bear.

This is hands down my favorite of Laurel's fic - always has been. I'm sorry, but two hot guys sharing an orange? Way too sensual to not have imprinted on your brain for the future. I never forgot it and kept going back to it. "Oranges are juicy" my mind would think and off I'd go. LOL So now I have my very own version as homage to the delicious original.

Just to show you how delectable this morsel is, it got remixed by *another* Miracles person in the same round! Go read melodyunity's remix too: Succulent (The Orchard of Dreams Remix). She covers Paul's POV, which gives us a wonderful rounding out of the original tale.

I decided that since Imaginary Reality was based on the original Orange-Flavored Kiss that my own Orange-Flavored Kiss should be part of Imaginary Reality. (Lost yet? LOL) Since OFK inspired IR I decided my OFK should be a prequel to IR. (Now you're really lost!)

Just go read the Confession post on Imaginary Reality. It has links to pretty pictures of hot men and you can forget all about this prequel nonsense. ;-)

After all, it's all about the hot men.

And oranges. /grins/

Thanks,

Emma DeMarais

LOL! You had the best shot out of everyone!

And YW. All nicely deserved. I did kick myself though because I meant to toss in a compliment about the great idea you had for John Winchester in your Generation fic. That was bloody brilliant! I never forgot that and keep trying to talk people into reading that long fic just for that awesome pay off.

I may have to read that again. I told myself I can spend December reading fic (finally!) and watching TV since I've been putting it off for so long. Only I have to finish the novel first. /glares at it/

Aww, thanks! I still really like the Generation universe and want to write more in it someday. John's power in that story, passed on to Dean, was a natural in my mind.

If you read any more stories in the Dean/Paul universe, be sure to read "Persistence of Memory." It's a very important one to that universe. Well, all the recent ones have been important, but especially that one. :)

Good luck taming that novel!

Thanks! I'm about to hit 59K. /cheers/

PoM is actually top of my list for December reading. It's been hard to put it off (you temptress you!) but this NaNo was a big deal for me so I'm rather proud of my discipline. (I even gave up watching most of my TV shows for it!)

John's power still makes me kind of squee. It's one of those 'damn why didn't *I* think of that' things. /is all jealous/

You haven't even been watching "Supernatural"? That is some big, bad discipline! :D

Oh, most of your tv shows. So, you have been watching SPN? Still impressive discipline.

John would have come up with some power that gave him a symbiotic relationship with the Impala, but I don't think I would have been able to put such a good name to it and expand it if it hadn't been for my friend K-kitty and I roleplaying stuff like that out, with her techmages. Her characters more controlled the machines, whereas I wanted John to actually be able to talk to them. I really like how it all turned out. :) I'm glad you like it too.

I think it was the communication that was the most interesting part of it. I mean they have a kid on Heroes who can control machines, but I liked the fact that John could communicate with them so much more than just control. Very cool.

I postponed SPN for when I wasn't able to write so I haven't seen the last one, but I've been able to fit the rest in. Other than that only Numb3rs gets watched when it's actually on TV. CM gets watched about a week later at times. No Bones, no Heroes, no Eleventh Hour, no Fringe, no Mentalist. /sigh/ I put aside watching The Unit and Psych a while back so no great hardship there, but right now The Unit is going through some really cool stuff so I may have to catch up in December to find out what my roomie is all aflutter over.

I do admit it's been hard to watch SPN late. At first we'd watch it Thursday nights at like 11:30 PM when we were done writing for the day then it was next day, then the weekend and before we knew it we were avoiding spoilers all over LJ and regretting putting it off so much. So I really do want to get this last one done soon even though it means no new ones to look forward to until January. EEP!

Makes it more fun to write, too. :)

I couldn't wait to watch SPN. I'd die of curiosity. :D
