And my first Charlie/Colby at that!

And with this fic, Charlie takes the lead! Prior to this I'd written Don in twelve pairings and Charlie in twelve pairings. (What? Did you miss the memo about me being a pairings whore?) ;-) Now Charlie has a baker's dozen. Don/Leah is threatening, so watch out genius boy! There's a new Don ex in town! Hehehe (It's of interest to note that the vast majority of my Charlie pairings are slash while Don - with canon on his side - has a majority of het instead.)

The fic in this series are rare - not just because they're so cracktastic - but because I've rewritten them way more than any of my fic. I do it to punch up the humor, but also to make them flow better since pacing is critical to humor writing.

As part of the rewrite of this fic I decided add a new ending on it. Credit goes to ladygray99 for putting the awesome phrase "Charlie flavored" in my head after reading her fic today. ;-) LOLcatting Charlie seems particularly appropriate for a cracky fic such as this one

I had a half a page long ending written that was dull and boring and plodding so I wiped it out and replaced it with just that last line. I'd had Charlie flavored in my head on and off all day so I can't believe it didn't hit me until the 11th hour.

And amazingly I'm pretty sure it was between 11 and midnight. /grins/

I'm a little thrown by how popular this series is and my ego is whinging because it wants attention for my *serious* works, but I have to admit that people love to laugh and forget their troubles, so writing an escapist series and having people really enjoy it? Can't be bad.

Aw, thanks, hon! I don't normally whinge about colds, but this cough is so bad I can barely move, and we have a 14 hour drive to France starting tomorrow afternoon :( So if I'm not on line for a few days, I haven't dies, (I hope) just en route to another internet connection.

I love hearing people's physical and verbal reactions to fic and the Three Red Balls Series seems to have a plethora of them!

I tell you, stuffed pig Colby was *quite* the sight in my head, mostly because he was *ahem* trussed and naked. /evil grin/
