"It's like chemistry," Charlie slurred into his Scotch. "Our family molecule was like H2O2: two hydrogen atoms, two oxygen atoms..."
"Two parents, two children," Don agreed, nodding.
"Yeah and now we're just not hydrogen peroxide anymore. We lost our oxygen and you need oxygen to survive."
"Well, if you take one oxygen atom out of H2O2 that leaves you with H2O - water. And you need water to survive, right?"
Charlie gaped in wonder. "Yeah! We're water now!"
Don pushed Charlie's glass away. "No more Scotch. You should stick to beer."
"Or water," Charlie offered, brightening.
Don smiled.
"Water's good."
