I wrote this as a birthday gift for monkeyfun1 aka T.

She asked for Dean/Sam, which I loved because I got to know her via Numb3rs and it's the reverse of Neith whom I know from Supernatural yet asked for Don/Charlie. Hee!

I thought this would be something frantic, but somehow it ended up slower paced and angsty, but I kind of like that it's Sam POV for once and Sam taking care of Dean since he's the one hurt more. Dean's the older brother so there's an assumption that Dean takes care of Sam. This reversal - which is also a sort of apology from Sam for taking off like that - was kind of nice.

Thank you for the Birthday fic. Yeah, we met through Numb3rs but I think we are more than just reading/journal friends. You mean a lot to me in this world and in the real world. Thanks for being you and being around.

Oh, I'm so glad you liked it! I was worried about making such an angsty fic as a birthday present, but it's what the muse gave me.

We are friends outside of LJ, but fic is a gift I can give so fandom is a way to express my appreciation for who you are and all that you do. I figure even if this gift costs me nothing in terms of money you know I spent hours of my time making it just for you and I know that means something to you.

I hope you had a lovely day and that you get to continue celebrating over the weekend as well. Your life deserves to be celebrated. /hugs/

GAH! That icon slays me every time.

(But why can't Jared be becoming a better actor over time like Jensen? /sigh/)

I'm not sure why I don't write H/C more often. I'd guess because it tends to be long and I'm impatient. /points to 100+ drabbles as proof/
