New in the past week or so are solid foods (he goes after that rice cereal like nobody's business, squash not so much of a hit) and not immediately toppling over when sitting unsupported. He can roll from tummy to back, but isn't super-interested in doing so. He really wants to be able to stand. He's still awfully bald. The bottom two front teeth, which came in around Thanksgiving, are still unopposed, though there's been a tiny white dot that I think is the start of one of the uppers poking through for the past few days.

He's a pretty happy little dude, made it through a fairly active New Year's Eve party with a minimum of fussiness. He smiles and giggles and likes playing peekaboo and wrog's baby binary game. He's pretty good with his hands, and is very interested in cups, glasses and whatever I'm eating. Did not like the tiny bit of sparkling cider I gave him on NYE, though.

His sleeping patterns are... not so good. He will sleep for a really long stretch of small chunks. That is to say, he'll sleep for 10 hours, if he gets to nurse every 2-3 hours during that time. If he falls asleep on my lap during the day, I can shift his position pretty well, but if I put him down, he'll wake up, and then comes the misery. And when he gets miserable, Pip freaks out, so in the interest of keeping the peace I'm not really able to get stuff done while he's sleeping and I'm not getting much time with Pip at all. It's frustrating and I'm still pretty tired all of the time, which I'd hoped would be getting better by this point.

I don't know if I'm actually going to be able to go back to chorus next week as planned, which would be a bummer. But then I get the smile with all the dimples.

6 mo doc visit with all the measuring is next week.
