Though the book isn't officially published until tomorrow, there are still copies of Big Girl Knits floating around, and folks selling it, and there's my sweater (with the diagonal stripy panels)! Oddly, on my monitor the solid color portions look brown, they're actually purple. I hadn't seen the front view pic before now.

knitting, designing, happy

Yay!!! (The solid bits look reddish brown to me -- still pretty, though!)

Ooh. Someone didn't (know to) do color correction. The light is too warm.

I saw it being made and took an informal model shot of it. It is a GREAT, great sweater.

My swatch/sample when I was figuring it out was done in Kureyon color 40 with teal for the solid bits. I'd have been happy doing it in blues, but they chose those colors.

Oooh, I like it! What yarn is the solid bit? I'm a big fan of diagonal stripes.

It's Kureyon and Lamb's Pride.

Wonder if my LYS will have the book in by my post finals shopping trip Wed. I'll deserve a present.

*hyperventilates a little bit*

Models who are actually PLUS SIZED! Not models who are only plus sized in model-land!

Your sweater is teh awesome, too. :)

Yeah. They're members of a plus-sized burlesque group in NYC called the Glamazons.
